I would like to know if anyone has good suggestions of high quality (both performance and sound-wise) performances of "the Sweetest thing". I find the few "contributions" that exist are rather insufficient.
Thank you in advance!

It's only played 30 times so there aren't much performances to choose. The first one in Sunrise, Florida is great just because it's a great quality recording.
U2 never nailed the song live, obviously the reason why they stopped playing it after a few shows.

at this point in time they're probably as good as it gets. We're always looking for bootleg upgrades though, so you never know.

So you're saying the few contributions are sufficient after all?
Is there really no other version (you simply state there are like 30 and I'm asking you so I WON'T have to download them all) you can recommend for me, please?

Didn't listen to them all, the one I like is the Sunrise one. Maybe other users can give you more recommendation dates.

Go to u2gigs.com and find out the dates it was played then go to the elevation bootlegs page and sort the shows via sound quality, match the dates with u2gigs and job done. No help needed

the one from Charlotte is good, get the IEM version .....but I also recommend U2gigs.com or you should get the U2 Live book..a great resource if you're interested in certain shows and songs

Like i said earlier: Of course I can do it myself, however it would be a lot easier for me if the great community we have here would be so kind and name some version it likes so I can simply download them. If you don't want to help you don't have to.

It's a great huge book with all sorts of info on all U2 shows, by Pimm Jal De La Parra (died a few years ago unfortunately).
You can find it here, in PDF format:
