Edge's NYD 1975 Gibson Les Paul - will be on display at the Guitar Center in Northridge, CA from Friday May 30 - Sunday June 1st !!!

Also on display will be Stevie Ray Vaughn's "Lenny" Stratocaster and 2 of Eric Clapton's guitars.... his infamous "Blackie" and his Gibson ES335 that was used during Cream. NICE...

Guitar Center bought Edge's guitar from last years Music Rising "Icons of Music" auctions and the other guitars from other auctions... as is Guitar Center's "way".

It's time that I FINALLY get a digital camera and head of to the valley to take LOADS of pictures!!!!

Depends on how much you want to see "Reggie's" guitar up close. I will fecking camp there for two days if they let me! (Kidding, I'm not quite THAT obsessive - close but not quite)

I live on the Westside. I work just off Figueroa, near Dodger Stadium. It was hotter than hot today!! And I'm sure the valley will be the same tomorrow. But the guitars won't be there until the last weekend o' the month.

I do plan to go take TONS of pictures of Edge, SRV's guitars and both of Clapton's too. Historical guitars... each one.

Why's Edge's LP advertised as his "New Year's Day" guitar lol?! It's far more iconic than for that one bloody song lol (although I do love it, let it be known)

Get some pictures of SRV's guitar also. Hes my personal favirote blues guitarist.(R.I.P. 1954-1990)

Refresh our memories....which songs did Edge use that guitar for?

(a link to your website will suffice!)

That Les Paul was used for a number of tunes over the years, during shows. Studio-wise is a little less hard to say for certain.

"Rejoice" Gateshead Festival 1982 - http://youtube.com/watch?v=ptyROr4sRb4

It's been used for NYD on some tours, from ZOO thru Vertigo; although he did use the 1983 LP Standard goldtop for many of the Popmart dates for NYD.

"Who's Gonna Ride..." - http://youtube.com/watch?v=QfhL_OMhQP8

"Mofo" most if not all nights of Popmart - http://youtube.com/watch?v=lF1DW-ChwSM&feature=related

"I Will Follow" most if not all nights of Popmart - http://youtube.com/watch?v=1A1yvru4he0

"Until The End of The World" during ZOOTV - http://youtube.com/watch?v=ghmISrMkLyM&feature=related

"In God's Country" during Joshua Tree - http://youtube.com/watch?v=B3GAfFIRjzY

He's used it TONS for shows... probably use as often or more than his orginal Explorer and all black Strat, by this point... well... up until the auction

Aw shucks... Legend? No. A fan with lots of time on my hands to study these sort of things? Yep.

I will make it a point to get lots of pics to post once the guitars are on display the 29th - 1st.
