Can we just make this [THE] soccer topic so we stop having all these different ones?

I watched the Ireland v Brazil game myself. Not enthralling but very entertaining. Ireland played surprisingly well but there wasn't enough conviction in the finishing. That Brazilian goal was pure class though

and you're right about the game and the goal...
but here in Brazil the journalists are talking about the players that Dunga didn't put in the game...and I think they're right...

That was a pretty amazing score for Ireland. Do you think they have a chance at making the 2010 World Cup? I remember back in '02 rooting for the Men in Green. What a great run that was with Roy/Robbie Keane & Co. My cousins from Ireland mailed us some jerseys from that year. It was really exciting.
This summer USA played Brazil in Chicago, I was so upset that I couldn't make the game. USA played well, but Brazil got a few bogus goals. I believe we ended up losing 3-1.
I'm saving up $ to go to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa where I hope to see USA will finally raise take the cup

well we are gonna need a manager first. Our next match isn't until september so the new manager won't be able to test his team selection in a competitive game before the qualifiers. They have every chance, though that may be more to do with the luck o the Irish than anything else
