What song do you think takes the cake here.
Out of Control: One of the truest songs ever written.
Bad: Once you figure it out its quite sad.
RTSS: Like Bad but less metaphorical and more straight up.
Peace on Earth: Because we know its neve going to happen and I think thats the point of the song.
SYCMIOYO: You don't truely appreciate someone till there gone.

I have to agree with all of these. And God knows that "Sometimes..." was playing in my head from the moment I heard my dad had a heart attack (last year) to when he died a few days later.
Seems Bono and I have a lot in common, when it comes to our relationships with our fathers... and their not being here any longer... And like the video says in the beginning, I wished I'd knew my dad better too...
..."Sometimes..." and the Vertigo tour versions of "Kite" still get me every time... especially the Kite bit where Edge just goes off at the end... (sigh)

Seems like a lot of us here do...when you catch yourself hearing U2 melodies in your head in certain situations....that's it.
Something awesome happens to you, and you just want to scream "Hey, it's a beutiful day!"...or you're sad and you just hear Edge's riff from Miracle Drug...
I'm sorry for your dad, but I believe that SYCMIOYO helped you more in that situation that anyone else...

People usually say that "ATYCLB" is just another album, nothing special...but that album is so deep, so strong...people today need these songs...Peace on Earth, Grace, When I Look at the World...brilliant songs, songs that will help you see world and things in it clearer...

Another bit from One Tree Hill;
"Where poets speak their heart
Then bleed for it
Jara sang, his song a weapon
In the hands of love
Though his blood still cries
From the ground"
Brings a lump to my throat everytime, in much the same way as Mothers of the Disappeared...it makes me truly appreciate the value of the right to free speech, and about those people all over the world who were made to suffer for what they believed in at the hands of an oppressive force.
